The beauty of West Herts Golf Club

West Herts Golf Club is situated near Cassiobury Park, a wonderful green oasis, rich in natural beauty and steeped in heritage.  Winner of a Green Flag award for seven consecutive years, in 2014 the Park was voted one of the top five parks in the UK. Also, to a stone’s throw is Whippendell Woods,  165 acres of ancient woodland, believed to be more than 400 years old. The woods were used as the location for The Gungan Forest in Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace. Whippendell has also featured in television series such as Holby City and Silent Witness.

Even if you are not a golf player, it is worth to try short walk just for admire the beautiful landscape. But pay attention and respect golf players.

Gear used during shooting

Taking those photos, I used different techniques such as: two or more combined images to achieve a panoramic image, HDR, long exposure … Gear used Nikon D750, 15-25 mm, f2.8 lens, Manfrotto tripod,  for long exposure I have used Lee SW150 filters – 10 stops neutral density filter, known as the big stopper.

That project has been photographed during my afternoon walks West Herts Golf Club. Enjoy 🙂
